ignite cic is a not-for-profit community interest company based in Herefordshire, we focus on bringing communities together and empowering people to be creative & healthy through community activities and projects. We work with a variety of high quality local practitioners who provide an exciting array of creative and physical activities, which we tailor to communities needs. Here's some examples of our work:

OUR COMMUNITY CAN...be active and creative
Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and delivered in partnership with Active Herefordshire & Worcestershire, this four year project will empower communities to establish physical and/or creative activity initiatives in their local area.

WEST HEREFORDSHIRE WELLBEING
Funded by Tackling Inequalities Fund, this project see's free, entry-level physical activities offered to rural communities in West Herefordshire, whilst supporting providers to re/build a new client base in the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Activities include foraging, yoga, move with the groove dance based fitness and Nordic Walking.
CLOVER
Creative, Leisure, Outdoor & Volunteering Opportunities in the Ross-on-Wye area.
CLOVER is a project that aims to create new ways for people in HR9 to access activities to improve their well-being. Led by Ross Community Development Trust, ignite make up one of the core partners for this project. Click here for more information

CHOOSE HOW YOU MOVE WALKING
As part of the Destination Herefordshire Phase 3 project, Herefordshire Council have commissioned ignite until 2021 to engage people through Nordic Walking. Exploring the cities pathways, enjoying the outdoors, social interaction and encouraging an alternative way to travel.
Active HERE
Active HERE was a Herefordshire Public Health funded project designed to support inactive people into physical activity.
The project signposts to a vast range of existing sport and activity provision in the community that offer tailored beginner sessions. The project also supports providers to upskill and develop their offer to new audiences.

MOD YOUTH CLUB
We have worked with our partners at the MOD for many years, providing an exciting variety of alternative activities to enhance the youth club provision, including a series of digital creative workshops during the covid-19 pandemic.

DESIGN A FLAG FOR HEREFORDSHIRE COMPETITION
ignite were part of a county wide project to register an official community county Flag for Herefordshire, designed and voted for by the people, with a record number of entries. ignite also delivered free community creative workshops to inspire budding designers. This flag belongs to us all and can be used freely.



BERRINGTON HALL WALLED GARDEN PROJECT
We worked with the National Trust project team to deliver some initial community consultation regarding Berrington's Walled Garden project.

REIMAGINING ORCHARDS AT BROCKHAMPTON
We worked with the Brockhampton National Trust team to deliver the community consultation element of their exciting Reimagining Orchards project. Three fields of Orchards will be planted, offering lots of participation opportunities for the community to be involved in along the way.

Black and White House 90th Anniversary
We delivered a program of free family friendly creative activities as part of the of the Black and White House Hereford's 90th Anniversary, celebrating 90 years being a museum.

CREATIVE & ACTIVE COMMUNITIES
We were successful in our application for funding from Herefordshire Council's Leominster Community Connect Fund.
We delivered creative and physical activity taster days working with local communities to identify sustainable activity for the future.

HEREFORD SCHOOL GAMES
As a partner of the Local Organising Committee, we deliver the School Games Cultural Village, which provided children in their competitive downtime with an opportunity to try alternative activities, and explore new routes into physical activity.

MOD MUMS & TOTS
We have been providing an exciting variety of alternative activities to enhance the mum's and tots program.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITY PROVISION FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
We have carried out research and collated information relating to the Community Activity Provision for Young People in Herefordshire to ultimately provide routes to get more young people engaged and active. Funded by Herefordshire Sport.

PARISH ACTIVITIES
We worked with community groups and parish councils to support their ambitions for sustainable physical activity.

HOPE SPRING PROGRAM
Hope funded ignite to provide a circus skills workshop for 11 to 22 years old as part of Hope Support Services Spring program, Hope support young people when a close family member is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.

THE BIG ARTS TENT
We were commissioned by HerefordBID to deliver a program of high quality creative activities throughout the summer holidays for five to sixteen year olds in The Big Arts Tent, in Hereford High Town.

ANIMAL AGENTS CLAY WORKSHOP
We were commissioned by Herefordshire Council to deliver a creative family workshop at Hereford Museum in response to the Summer Reading Challenge theme 'Animal Agents'.

CREATIVE FAMILIES @ 3 CHOIRS FESTIVAL
Three Choirs Festival funded us to provide three afternoons of creative family workshops as part of Three Choirs Festival Family program, including Automata Toy Making, Up-cycled Drumming and Bankura Puppetry.

NO WRONG DOOR
As a partner of HVOSS No Wrong Door project for young people aged 11 to 25, we were funded to deliver batik, print, clay, circus skills and yoga sessions as part of the summer, autumn and spring programs, as well as activity for the 18+ group.

Brick History LEGO
We delivered a program of participatory workshops to compliment the Brick History LEGO exhibition at Hereford Museum and Art Gallery. Workshops included Awesome Mini LEGO Movies, Pit Stop Power! and On your Marks! Get Set! LEGO.

ARTS AWARD SUPPORTER
We are an arts award supporter and are happy to discuss integrating arts award delivery into activities we coordinate with partners. We are also happy to enable young people who are already undertaking arts awards to use our activities as stimulus. Leoni from ignite is a trained Bronze and Silver Arts Awards Adviser.
